Why
do I have to register and "verify" my email? |
|
Because you can access
so much information online, the
National Association of Realtor rules require us to verify your
email address
before
you can access our comprehensive database of homes for sale.
We email you with your access link
after you submit your registration - you may only access the
search portion of our site by clicking either of the links in our
email message to you.
|
 |
Where
is my access link? How can I log in? |
|
If you have already submitted your
email address and password, please check your email now -
look for a message from
custsvc@sandiego-mls.com with further details
and a link to enter our site.
If you are using a spam filter
please check that the software has not deleted our message to you in error!
You
may wish to white-list email from sandiego-mls.com to ensure our message gets
through.
|
|
Once you have full access to our site: |
 |
Where
do I log in? |
|
You may log into our site from the login/register link once we have verified your email address - we do
this by sending you an email with a link to click which allows you to access the search portion
of our site.
|
 |
What
does this site give me access to? |
|
You
can search all active property listings that are currently on the
market - you may search by zip code, by map or by custom fields. You
will have access to virtual tours, if the
listing agent provides one. All listings are
"mappable"
|
 |
How
do I sort listings that matter most to me? |
|
You can sort the search results by days on the
market (new listings first) or the number of
bedrooms etc by clicking the links at the top of
the results.
|
 |
How
do I get more information about a home I like? |
|
If you find a
property that meets your needs from the interactive search, simply
click on the "More Information" or Show me this home" option on the
listing flyer.
|
 |
What
is a "Special Search"? |
|
Here you may search for
homes by MLS #, street, complex or sub division. You may even search
for words like "fixer" in the comments the listing agent
supplied to the MLS.
|
 |
How
do I search by interactive map? |
|
Search by interactive
map - see the location of every MLS listing in San Diego County
displayed - refine your search by price, square feet, bedroom, year
built and much more. We have included those homes that sold in
the past 6 months. You may also toggle on and off aerial images and
individual lot lines.
|
 |
How
do I save a home that I like for future reference? |
Click on the “add to
favorites” link on any listing flyer and the property will be added to
your personal "Favorites" page. You may review your favorites at any
time and also delete them at any time.
A cool new feature we have added to the Favorites page is the “Ask a
Friend, Family or an Agent on our team to Comment!” This option allows
you to send them a home that you have selected as a saved Favorite and
request them to input a comment for you to review and add to your own
comments and/or other friends or family’s comments.
It’s a lot a fun, your friend “Ruth” may comment that she’s seen the
home and its front yard is bare. While an Agent on our team may
comment, just previewed the home for another client and the sellers
have updated the front yard! It very interactive and really helpful
when trying to narrow down which house truly is your favorite.
You may also ask us
questions or request a showing of any of your favorites
|
 |
What page do I go to in order to ask a friend to comment on one of
my Saved Favorites? |
To ask for comments on
one of your Saved Favorites simply click on the link to your
“Favorites”. On the “Favorites” page there are two options for you to
click on to “Ask a Friend for Comments”: one of the links is located
at the top of the page under the title and the other is located below
the description of the home. Either option will allow you to send the
message to your friend to comment on what they think about the home.
Once your friend has commented we will send you an email letting you
know! The comment will be shown in the box below the description of
the home and the thumbnail pictures of the property.
If you were actively using the “Favorites” page before, you will
notice that the page has a new look with a lot of great new features.
Your saved favorites can now be sorted according to “price”,
“bedrooms” and “year built.” You can also choose to see a “full
listing sheet on the home” that is great for printing out to keep for
reference. If you’d like to have an agent on our team show you the
home or request more information there is a link provided to do so.
Lastly, if you’d like to remove the home from the list you simply
click the “Remove” link.

 |
Sorry
these homes you saved as favorites are no longer available? |
|
Our database consists of current listings, so if
a favorite is no longer available it will appear further down the page
as unavailable.
The home will have
been
withdrawn from the market, is in escrow or the sale has already
closed. If you would like to know the current status please click the
link on the page.
|
 |
How
do I save a search? |
|
You may run
"saved searches" at any time by
selecting that option. If
you save your search and the search shows a
green button we can also send you any
new listings that come on the market each day
automatically, via email.
|
 |
Why
can I not save any more searches? |
|
There is a system limit of 10 saved searches to
prevent users from inadvertently saving dozens
of searches and then getting deluged with email
alerts! The system will intelligently not save
duplicate searches for the same reason.
If
you are running up against that limit try
consolidating individual zip code searches or
creating "Custom Searches"
|
 |
Why
am I not receiving daily email alerts? |
|
You will only receive an e-mail if you have
saved a search and there are properties that
match the saved search - by default you will
save every search unless you uncheck the box.
Our message will
contain a summary of the listings found (which
will include price changes, homes back on the
market as well as new listings) with
links to view all the details on each individual
property if you are interested. There will also
be a link to your profile page in the message.
|
 |
How
do I turn off my saved searches? |
|
You may
manage your
email alerts by logging in going to the
Saved Search page and
either deleting the alert or turning it off so
the button shows red.
When you receive an email alert there is a link
at the top and bottom off each message which
will bring up your
Profile Page.
Here you may select your saved search page or
alternatively you may send us feedback.
Clicking
the "No Longer looking" option and
pressing submit will
automatically delete all your current saved
searches and alert us that you are no longer
looking.
|
 |
What
is "Your Profile"? |
|
Here you may change your contact information and
password, or tell us about how you would like us
to communicate with you.
You
may also tell us you are no
longer looking. You will also find a link to
the
Saved Search
page where you may manage your searches.
